What is Symphony?
Symphony is Sonetas' solution for automatically connecting the medical devices in your veterinary practice to Fuga. Results and images appear automatically in the correct patient record, with no need to enter them manually.
There are two types of connections:
1. Online connections (subscription)
For blood analysis devices such as those from Idexx and Zoetis, Symphony works entirely online. Analysis results are sent directly to Fuga over the internet and automatically appear under the correct patient.
No additional hardware is required — just a Symphony subscription.
2. Symphony Box (for imaging)
For medical imaging — such as ultrasound, X-ray, and dental X-ray — a small computer (the Symphony Box) is needed at your practice.
This is because imaging devices use a specific protocol (DICOM) to transmit images. This protocol operates over the local network, which is why a local device is needed to receive the images and forward them to Fuga.
The Symphony Box is installed once at your practice and then runs fully automatically in the background. In addition to the installation, a Symphony subscription is also required.
What do you need to do as a veterinarian?
In day-to-day practice, it could not be simpler:
- Start an examination in the consultation in Fuga
- Take your images or run the analysis
- The results are automatically sent to Fuga and linked to the correct patient
