Would you like to receive laboratory results automatically in Fuga? If so, you first need to connect your laboratory to Fuga. Below, we explain step by step how to do this.
First of all, you need to enter your laboratory details under Settings → Practice Preferences → Laboratory.
The "Last XYZ Request Number" is the last reference number you used on a request submitted to laboratory XYZ. This sequential number is used as a unique identifier for a laboratory request within your practice. Based on this reference number, results are automatically linked to the corresponding consultation.
Which requests are available for the following laboratories?
| Laboratory | Offline Requests | Online Requests | Online Results |
|---|---|---|---|
| AML | X | X | |
| AML LabOnline | X | X | |
| Bruyland | X | X | X |
| DGZ | X | ||
| Labo Bauduin | X | X | |
| Labo Collard / Synlab | X | X | X |
| Lavetan | X | ||
| Medilab | X | X | |
| Velab | X | X | X |
| Zoolyx | X | X (1) |
(1) For these results, you do not need to click the circular refresh button in the Docu Center to retrieve them.
AML
To activate the AML interface for the first time, you must be registered with AML. This can be done via their website (http://www.aml-lab.be) by selecting the consultIt option during registration (top-right corner, next to the BELAC logos).
In addition, you must contact AML for each staff member who requires activation.
Note: This method is not recommended. We advise using AML LabOnline instead (see below).
AML LabOnline
AML LabOnline allows you to submit laboratory requests electronically. This means you no longer need to print requests on the yellow request forms.
To use AML LabOnline, you can request an account through your regular AML contact person or by logging into the AML website. If you do not yet have an account, you can register as follows:
- Go to "Your Details"
- Click "Edit Yourself"
- Under "Subscribed to", select "LabOnline"
Bruyland
It is possible to submit laboratory requests online to Bruyland.
Within a consultation, create a request as usual. In the request form, you will see an "Online Request" checkbox at the bottom.
- If this box is checked, the online procedure will be followed.
- If it is not checked, the previous procedure will be used (generating a PDF and printing it on the Bruyland request form).
DGZ
It is possible to receive your DGZ laboratory results directly in Fuga.
To obtain credentials, send an email to fixit@dgz.be with the subject:
"Aanmaak login Sonetas (BPV export via XML)"
The email should contain the following information:
- First name
- Last name
- Veterinary registration number
- Association
- Address (street, number, and municipality)
- Email address
DGZ will then send your username and password to the email address provided. The process takes a maximum of five working days.
For a veterinary association, a single login is used by all veterinarians in the group, so providing one email address is sufficient.
Synlab
Synlab allows you to submit analysis requests online and store the results directly in Fuga.
To activate the interface:
- Go to Settings → Practice Preferences → Laboratory → Synlab
- Enter your Synlab credentials.
If you are not yet registered with Synlab, you can register at:
https://mysynlab.synlab.be/nl/connexion
You can find your code on the Synlab website under:
My Profile → Web Service Key
Important: Synlab recently migrated to the Antech platform. Please read the article about the Antech integration for more information.
Velab
To activate the Velab interface for the first time, inform your Velab contact person that you would like to retrieve results through Fuga.
Velab will then configure the necessary settings on their side.
Zoolyx
To submit requests, go to:
Settings → Practice Preferences → Laboratory
and enable the "Online Request" option under Zoolyx.
This will automatically log you into the Zoolyx website whenever you submit a request.
Please note: The automatic login expires after one year. You will then need to log in again.
Before results can be received in Fuga
You must also complete the following steps in Zoolyx:
To receive analysis result notifications in your practice software, you need to adjust several settings in MyZoolyx.
- Click My Zoolyx
- Click your username (shown as "demo" in the example screenshot)
- Select "Manage Practice"
You will then arrive at a page where you must:
- Enable the notification checkbox
- Select Fuga
- Click Save
Next, on the same page, click "Edit" next to each practice member who wishes to receive notifications.
Repeat this process for every member who wants notifications.
You must enter the complete FU account number.
Receiving results
Results are delivered automatically to the Fuga Docu Center, so you no longer need to retrieve them using the circular refresh button.
However, if it is important for you to receive a notification whenever laboratory results arrive, you can activate Zoolyx notifications.
You can find instructions on how to receive notifications through Fuga in the corresponding guide.
In this case, the files will also appear in the Fuga Docu Center.
