New Features
Fuga SMS — built-in SMS gateway
Fuga now has a built-in SMS gateway called Fuga SMS. Practices no longer need to manage their own Spryng or Clickatell account to send SMS messages (appointment reminders, mailings, etc.). Fuga SMS can be enabled via a simple checkbox in Practice Preferences (tab E-mail & SMS). SMS credits are managed centrally by Sonetas and tracked per practice, and are much cheaper than Spryng or Clickatell.
With Fuga SMS, you have a small additional cost that yields a great return and better preventive care for your patients. Find more information here
Please note: Sending SMS via your own Spryng or Clickatell account will soon no longer be possible. It is best not to purchase new credits and to switch over as soon as possible. Since the price via Fuga SMS is cheaper, you save money by doing this quickly.
Help icons in settings screens
Settings screens (Practice Preferences and My Preferences) now have small help icons (?) next to settings. Clicking a help icon opens the relevant help article directly, so you can quickly find documentation without having to search the helpdesk manually.
Support for unstructured reference in CODA and CAMT.053
When importing a bank payment file (CODA or CAMT.053), Fuga now also uses the unstructured reference when matching a payment to an invoice. Some banks export the European structured reference in the unstructured reference field — Fuga now picks this up, which means fewer unmatched payments after import. The link between payment and invoice is still based on the structured reference on the Fuga invoice.
Delete or merge clients with stock requests
When merging clients, stock requests are now correctly moved to the target client. Previously, stock requests of the secondary client remained as orphaned records after a merge. Additionally, deleting a client that still has stock requests is now blocked — you must first process or remove the stock requests.
Switzerland: Currency validation for supplier coupling
Fuga now validates that the practice currency matches the supplier. Vetpoint (CHF) can only be configured when the practice uses CHF. Other supplier couplings require EUR. This prevents configuration errors that could lead to incorrect pricing.
Netherlands: Vierkantsvergelijking report
To avoid confusion, the Vierkantsvergelijking report (Stock => Reports) is now only visible for practices that are active in the Netherlands, since this report is specific to Dutch regulations.
Standard advanced searches: Preventive check-up
Two new preset advanced searches are available (Clients => Advanced Search):
- Preventieve check-up (kat/hond ≥2j) — for Dutch-speaking practices
- Bilan préventif (chat/chien ≥2 ans) — for French-speaking practices
These searches select active clients with cats or dogs aged 2 years or older, with normal patient status, who had a consultation last year but not yet this year (excluding referral consultations). Useful as a basis for mailings or campaigns around annual check-ups and vaccination follow-up.
Resolved Issues
- Fixed a crash when exporting PDF labels for certain practices.
- Invoice PDFs no longer cut off the last column when article descriptions are long. The table layout now correctly respects column widths.
- The default text color in the SVG dental image editor is now black instead of transparent. Previously, text appeared invisible on a white background.
- The Peppol dashboard widget no longer causes slow page loads. The count query for undelivered Peppol documents has been optimized.
- CAMT.053 files that do not contain the optional TxAmt field can now be imported. Fuga falls back to the Amt field when TxAmt is not present. This resolves import issues for certain Swiss banks.
