Automatic price update via supplier catalogues
What is it?
Fuga can automatically update the gross price, public price and VAT of your products based on the supplier catalogues that are imported daily. This means you no longer need to manually perform the action "Adjust gross/public price and VAT via supplier catalogue" after each catalogue import.
Note: This feature only works for suppliers that have an automatic catalogue integration in Fuga (e.g. Alcyon, Medini, Covetrus/NetOrder, ...). Manually uploaded catalogues are not included in the automatic price update.
Enabling automatic price update
To activate this feature:
- Go to Settings → Practice preferences
- Open the Stock tab
- Find the checkbox "Automatic update of gross/public price and VAT based on supplier catalogues"
- Check the box to enable the feature
- Click Save
This setting is disabled by default. When disabled, Fuga behaves exactly as before — no automatic price updates occur.
How the automatic update works
Principle: the highest price wins
When the setting is enabled, the following happens automatically after each daily catalogue import:
- Fuga compares the catalogue price with the current price in Fuga for each product:
- Catalogue price higher? → Product price is updated
- Catalogue price lower or equal? → Product price remains unchanged
- This applies separately to the gross price, public price and VAT.
Multiple suppliers with the same product?
You cannot choose a preferred supplier. If the same product appears in multiple catalogues, the highest price wins. Each catalogue import checks again whether the price is higher than the current one.

Important notes
- Prices are never automatically reduced — only increased if the catalogue price is higher.
- Only the price on the product is updated, not the price on individual batches.
- Manually uploaded catalogues are not included.
Frequently asked questions
Which suppliers are included?
All suppliers that have an automatic catalogue integration in Fuga and that you have configured in your stock environment (section "Relationship between supplier interfaces and suppliers").
Can I choose a preferred supplier?
No, this is not possible. The highest price from all catalogues is used.
Are manually uploaded catalogues included?
No, only automatically imported catalogues from integrated suppliers are included.
Are prices also automatically reduced?
No, prices are never automatically reduced — only increased if the catalogue price is higher.
What if I still want to apply a price reduction?
You can still manually perform the action "Adjust gross/public price and VAT via supplier catalogue" to apply all prices (including reductions).
